I work in the home improvement space. 60% of our clients call us to improve their home at 40% of our clients call us to save their home. This is especially true after a brutal New England winter ravaged many homes. Ice dams that spent 9+ weeks frozen in place has led to ceilings and walls being removed in whole rooms, floors being replaced, and in some cases, whole kitchens having to be put back together.

We’ve been working with clients and home insurance companies to repair the home. One client has approximately $45k in damage. Insurance is able to pay about $12k. This is not an article about corrupt insurance companies so please don’t let low payouts distract you.
