Man of Action

I want to be a man of action.

I want to be a man who does things, who gets moving.

I want to be a man who does the things he should be doing - the things that make him a great man, who takes his place in the world.

I don’t want to keep re-labeling procrastination as preparation. I know the difference between the two.

I don’t want to fritter away my time, burying what I have been given in fear of what will be said.

I want to get action. I want to do things, learning as I go, growing as I go, taking my place where I am and becoming somebody. Even the great King is eager for his followers to multiply what has been given to them. “Just do something” he says. Extreme irritation is reserved for those who do nothing and bury what they have in the ground.

The life I want, the character I desire, comes on the other side of the action I take.
