The Rocky movies make me want to be a man. When I was younger, Rocky IV was my favorite in the series. It has the best training montage, the most muscle, and as a proud American, I loved watching Rocky defeat communism with his fists.

Now that I am older, I have come to love Rocky 1 more than any of the others.

If you have not seen Rocky, repent, and go watch it. The story centers around Rocky Balboa, a man from the streets, getting the opportunity to fight the World Champion Heavyweight Boxer Apollo Creed. During the right, Apollo brutalizes this unskilled man of the street. Jab after jab to the face and Rocky hardly lands a punch. During a tie up, Apollo whispers in Rocky’s ear:

“C’mon, can’t you fight? Give the people something to watch.”

He’s about to find out what Rocky is made of.

The rest of the fight continues pretty much the same. Rocky getting jabbed in the face over and over but never giving up. The most iconic moment of the fight, Rocky gets knocked down. Creed throws his hands…
