Five Things I Wish I Did in My Twenties

I wrote an article on five things I did well in my twenties. Your twenties are widely considered “the defining decade” of your life. (There is a book called “the defining decade” that is full of practical advice for 20 somethings). I said in that article it becomes quickly apparent if those 10 years were used well or used poorly. Today I’d like to share five things I wish I would’ve done that would have drastically changed the course of my thirties and my family life.

Before that, I’d like to make it clear that I do not regret the path I took (most days). I can see God’s faithfulness to me on the path I chose, in the mistakes and the good choices.

Wish 1 - Worked Two Jobs

There are two reasons I wish I would’ve done have worked two jobs. The first is for financial reasons. I had college debt that needed to be paid off but I did not do it because for the first half of my twenties, I was working 30 hours a week.
