Eyes to Heaven

My eyes were glued to the TV as Erika Kirk took the stage at her late husband’s memorial. Our entire household put dinner and everything else on pause to watch the speech she was about to give. Our eyes poured tears at her walkout which was one of the most moving things I’ve ever seen.

She gave a speech honoring her husband and at the right time, something switched. Her eyes stopped looking at her notes or at the crowd. They moved to upward to Heaven.

I will not quote the speech. You need to watch it to experience the moving power of someone’s eyes fixed on Heaven. She was no longer giving a speech. She was praying in the fullest sense. She was looking at God and talking to him in full sincerity. Her eyes and her heart were fixed. (Video linked below)
